Why not come to Poland and try the special Christmas food and drinks and unique gifts? Come explore the charm of old town streets, shop the handmade gifts, enjoy the enchanting Christmas lights, and perhaps go on a carriage ride. Make sure to try “oscypek”, smoked sheep cheese served with cranberry. You will only find it in Poland!

Krakow Christmas Market – One of the Most Beautiful in the World

Krakow is considered one of the most popular Christmas markets in the world and it’s easy to see why. It has everything from local handcrafted ceramics and jewelry to local specialties like Galician spiced mulled wine.

The market is located in the main old town square. It’s conveniently close to the main tourist attractions of St. Mary’s Basilica with its famous Veit Stoss altarpiece, Krakow Cloth Hall dating from the 13th century, and Wawel Castle, the seat of Polish kings.

Wroclaw Christmas Market – Like a Fairy Tale

Wroclaw’s Old Town Christmas market looks like something straight out of a fairy tale with its traditional Christmas Pyramid and a Rudolf carousel.

Visitors can find craft shops, a Winter Labyrinth, and a variety of stands with local products like Silesian mulled wine with black pepper and vanilla, churros, pancakes, chocolate, and plenty of options for gifts for loved ones.

Poznan Christmas Market – A Holiday Fun Fair

Poznan, capital of the Wielkopolska region, hosts its annual Bethlehem Christmas market every year by the City Hall. It includes The International Ice Sculpture Festival.

Note that due to Covid, there will be no parade this year.

Gdansk Christmas Market– Poland’s Largest Market

Gdansk Christmas Market is conveniently situated in the city center. Enjoy its Venetian carousel, an Advent calendar with a different window opened every day. The stalls are beautifully decorated. Burn some of those calories you’re taking in while skating at the outdoor ice rink, or ride Santa’s sleigh in virtual reality.

Gdansk maritime links can be seen in its charming old town with its fountain of Neptune fountain and its shipyard, a symbol of Polish freedom and the fight against communism.
